Launch and Leverage the new CO-OP Shared Branch Brand
New branding for CO-OP Shared Branch locations was rolled out on August 13, 2013. It will transform the way members and prospective members recognize the nationwide access and convenience your credit union offers. CO-OP has developed an online launch kit that will help credit unions in the launch of these new brands in order to ensure a smooth transition.
If you have not already done so, please visit www.co-opfs.org/rebrand
to get started by downloading your launch guide. It will include details on the rebranding as well as instructions on how to access the CO-OP Marketing Portal where the online launch kit materials can be located. Included are free static cling signs to place on the windows of participating CO-OP Shared Branch locations, free statement inserts and lobby posters to assist in getting the message out to members about the logo change, newsletter articles, and much more.
For more information on how to launch and leverage the new CO-OP Shared Branch brand, view the webinar recording
that went over the contents of the launch kit and other helpful information.
Here is an overview of the changes your credit union will need to make due to the rebranding:
- Logo Changes - change the logos on your credit union’s website, marketing material, and wherever else you might have it displayed. The CU Service Centers and swirl are going away. We encourage you to leave up your existing window cling and when you receive your new one with the updated logo, put the two side by side to help transition members to the new logo. In January 2014 you can remove the CU Service Centers swirl window cling. We do not expect all logos to be updated immediately as we are aware this will be an ongoing effort by credit unions.
- New Locator - the new locator website is www.co-opsharedbranch.org. You will need to change your links from your website and any marketing material you have the locator website listed. CO-OP Shared Branching will automatically direct to the new website when the old URLs are used. The new website is also mobile compatible. CO-OP Shared Branching is in the process of updating the mobile apps to have only one app available for both the iPhone and Android phones. This change will be occurring soon. Attached are FAQs regarding the locator website and apps.
- Receipts - change the logo and wording on your shared branching member receipts. You will need to remove the swirl logo and change the wording from CU Service Centers to Shared Branching. There is a .BMP file on the PaCUSC website under Marketing Support that your credit union can use for this change on your receipts.
We know it will take some time to get all of the logos and wording changed so we just ask that you start making the changes as you can. Don’t trash any marketing material just because of the logo being wrong; we encourage you to use up that material.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. We want to make this a smooth transition without additional costs to your credit union where possible.
New Resource for your Marketing Needs: The CO-OP Marketing Portal
The turnkey consumer marketing capabilities formerly available through MARC have become part of a newly launched resource designed to provide even greater convenience and functionality for CO-OP’s valued credit union clients. CO-OP’s Marketing Portal expands the free tools you can use to inform members about the enhanced convenience available through the CO-OP products and services your credit union offers.
A library designed for easy navigation lets you choose from professionally prepared materials that promote the benefits of CO-OP Shared Branching, as well as other CO-OP products and services that your credit union may offer such as CO-OP Network, CO-OP Mobile, CO-OP NextGen ATM, Debit, Prepaid Cards and many other solutions. These materials include hundreds of customizable marketing pieces plus general promotions to increase awareness of your credit union. You can choose from print ads, statement inserts, postcards, brochures, Web banners, posters, newsletter articles and more. To conserve your time and resources, these materials are ready made and able to be customized with your credit union’s logo.
To access the materials available on the Marketing Portal, please visit www.co-opfs.org/MarketingPortal
and log on with your Extranet username and password. If your credit union does not have Extranet access, please click here
to fill out a form to receive alternate access to the Portal. Please be aware that your credit union will be invoiced by Systemax Solutions, our vendor for the Marketing Portal, for any charges for purchases and/or shipping and handling. Previously you were invoiced by CO-OP Shared Branching for any purchases from MARC. Systemax will mail an invoice for the charges owed within one business day after the shipment has gone out to your credit union.
