Essential Functions:
We are seeking a motivated individual to succeed in a competitive work environment for our centrally located Western Pennsylvania credit union. Qualified candidates should have the following experience when applying:
  • Strong interpersonal skills & relationship building
  • Previous customer service or face to face sales experience is preferred
  • Provides service and information in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner via telephone and in person
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task with limited errors
  • Administer consumer and mortgage loan applications via in person, over the telephone and via the internet
  • Work with Title companies, complete appraisal verifications of deposit and employment
  • Arrange mortgage loan closings and ensure all post-closing procedures are completed
  • Working knowledge of Consumer & Mortgage laws, satisfactions, titles, bankruptcy, collections ,collateral protection, disability insurance and debt cancellation products
  • Background in underwriting, processing and administering VISA credit cards
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding credit reports required
  • Comfortable in discussing member financial needs in a professional, efficient and knowledgeable manner
  • Previous knowledge of credit union policy is preferred
  • Prepare various lending reports and maintain records as required by regulations and policy
  • Maintain member loan files as needed
  • Assist with portfolio reviews, pre-screens and skip-a-pay programs
  • Recommend and cross sell credit union products to meet member needs; increase product penetration and promote the Credit Union vision and mission
  • Miscellaneous duties may include posting of payments, filing bankruptcy proof of claims, attending sheriff sales, meeting with attorneys, developing policies and procedures and other duties as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality of member account information
  • Follow established credit union policies, procedures and service standards
  • Respond to members in writing and over the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Contribute to a positive working environment where internal and external service is first and foremost
  • Willingness in flexibility with changing job requirements to service member needs
  • Strong background in Microsoft products: Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Attend credit union meetings, seminars and off site visits as needed
  • Limited amount of travel
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; will consider individual with Associates degree in Business or Finance and/or a minimum of five years’ experience in a credit union or banking institution

Physical Requirements of the Position
Continuous sitting. Occasional walking. Occasional standing. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Occasional bending and/or reaching for supplies on ground level. Occasional reaching above shoulder level for supplies overhead. Frequent repetitive use of hands such as simple grasping, twisting/turning of wrists, and finger dexterity to perform various accounting duties such as using a 10 key calculator, keyboarding and entering data into the computer system. Frequent speaking, listen and hearing for interaction with members, staff, and the general public. Occasional clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Frequent clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
