Compliance Town Meetings

Keeping up with new compliance requirements isn't easy.

That's why your Association wants to keep you informed through regional Compliance Town Meetings.

Town Meetings are an excellent way to stay in touch with new and proposed regulations and are typically held each spring and fall.

Fall Compliance Town Meetings

Troubled Debt: Loans Gone Bad

This panel discussion will open with an overview of troubled debt restructuring and the basics of modifications as presented by PCUA Audit and Compliance staff.

Staff will be joined by an experienced attorney to present hypothetical examples of what can go wrong, and remedies credit unions might pursue to rehabilitate the loan.  The panel will discuss how to identify early signs of trouble, lien positions, judgment creditors, tax liens, and foreclosure.

We are pleased to have attorney Steve Adams, Stevens and Lee, join us for the Springfield meeting; attorney Chris Pippett from Fox Rothschild will join us for the Enola meeting; and attorneys Matt Urban, Weltman, Weinberg, & Reis, and Joe Covelli, Covelli Law Offices, will join us for the Mars meeting.

Human Resource Issues Affecting Credit Unions

The afternoon session, Human Resource Issues Affecting Credit Unions, will address HR laws and regulations, including confidentiality, documentation, wage and hour issues and communication.  An experienced attorney will discuss these topics, as well as electronic devices in the workplace, social media, personnel policies, Patient Protections and Affordable Care Act and employee benefits.

We are pleased to have attorney Donna Walsh of Myers, Brier and Kelly join us for the Springfield and Enola meetings; and attorney Mariah Passarelli of Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney join us for the Mars meeting.

Meetings are held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and include a networking lunch.

The cost to attend is $25 per attendee.
