CUNA Correspondence Certificate Programs
The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, in conjunction with CUNA & Affiliates, offers a series of self-study programs consisting of STAR, MERIT, VAP/VLP, and RegTraC certificate programs.
Exams for all programs are offered via traditional paper exam or online testing.
Staff Training And Recognition Program (STAR)
STAR is a unique program that zeros in on credit union employee’s needs. Staff development is key to your credit union’s growth and stability. Where can you get an economical training program that focuses on the development of front-line staff? Reach for STAR - CUNA’s Staff Training And Recognition Program. Credit unions can choose between traditional, paper-based training or Web-based training. Plus, staff or volunteers may be able to earn college credit with STAR.
Management Enrichment Training (MERIT)
MERIT provides a solid foundation of management skills. MERIT can unlock the door to your leadership potential. MERIT will help develop necessary skills for your current position while looking ahead towards career advancement. Choose from self-study courses that will increase your knowledge, improve your performance, and develop your leadership skills.
Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP)
The Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) helps volunteers learn how to work together effectively, make informed decisions, and improve credit union performance. Both new and experienced volunteers will appreciate the learning opportunities offered by VAP.
Volunteer Leadership Program (VLP)
Credit union volunteers will learn to work together more effectively, improve their communications skills, and become better leaders with the Volunteer Leadership Program. The Volunteer Leadership Program is designed to help volunteers soar to the next level in their leadership potential.
Regulatory Training and Certification Program (RegTraC)
Every day, credit union staff and compliance professionals face complex questions and issues requiring fast, accurate solutions. RegTraC provides the guidance and tools necessary to generate those solutions, plus much more.
Certified Executive Program
The Certified Executive Program offers the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation, the new Certified Financial Services Professional (CFSP) designation, and five new Specialty Certifications in Lending, Marketing, Financial Management, Human Resources, and Compliance.
