Compliance Cavalry is a customized compliance solution offered by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association.
Compliance Cavalry can be especially helpful to credit unions operating without dedicated compliance staff. Compliance Cavalry can also assist a manager or other staff member who is being overwhelmed by compliance responsibilities. No matter what the reason, all credit unions can benefit from the expertise of a knowledgeable Compliance Officer.
Compliance Cavalry features an experienced Compliance Officer who works for the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, and has been certified by CUNA as a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE).
Credit unions that contract with Compliance Cavalry choose from either a six month or twelve month consulting contract. An hourly rate, special project option is also available.
No matter which plan you choose, you'll start by meeting with your Compliance Officer to determine which compliance projects need immediate attention. Together you'll determine how you can best address those needs. Compliance Cavalry can help your credit union implement a comprehensive compliance program, in addition to addressing a credit union's specific compliance priorities.
Basic components of the Compliance Cavalry program include:
- Establish an enterprise-wide compliance program
- Review existing policies and procedures for compliance
- Review and implement Association compliance tools such as CU PolicyPro and Compliance InfoSight
- Provide on-site compliance training as determined by credit union
- Provide updates on regulatory changes and operational impact
- Assist with compliance deadlines as required by either regulators or auditors
