The Association's Business Advisory Services presents a two day session designed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge about appraisal laws, including USPAP, appraiser standards, appraisal types and lender responsibilities on March 15 and 16, 2010. Participants will benefit from attending by gaining a better understanding of:

• Definition of "Highest and Best Use"
• What is required in a market analysis
• USPAP
• Industry expectations of appraisals professionals

Who should attend? CEO's, board members responsible for oversight of MBL portfolios, Business Loan Officers and committee members.

Brian S. Kirksey is a high energy, versatile and results-oriented senior professional having significant expertise in valuation, taxation and organizational development. He is highly recognized as a premier leader throughout Michigan for his skills, both as a practioner and as a mentor.

Kirksey’s professional experience spans over twelve years and includes increasingly responsible positions that have demanded his time, attention, and a highly sensitive articulation to detail.  He specializes in Federal Acquisition work, litigation, and property tax appeals for both commercial and residential real estate.  On top of being an accomplished appraiser, Mr. Kirksey is an AQB Accredited USPAP Instructor, real estate trainer, and develops custom education programs for all types of real estate users.
