Controller


P & G Mehoopany Employees Federal Credit Union is seeking a Controller to work in its Tunkhannock Branch Office.  With over $100M in assets, the Credit Union has 6 branch offices. 

The Controller directs the Accounting Department activities; provides leadership, training and supervision within the department.  The Controller manages the internal and external auditing, accounting, and recordkeeping activities to ensure the generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) are met; Assures compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal regulations; prepares, presents and interprets financial reports; completes regulatory reports.  The Controller makes recommendations relating to budget preparation, investment allocation, cash management and operational changes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years credit union, bank or financial experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of audit practices and principles
  • Supervisory/Leadership skills
